On the morning of May 16, the first 1260TEU methanol dual fuel container vessel built by our group's New Yangzi Shipbuilding for the Singapore shipowner X-Press Feeders signed for delivery. This type of vessel is an open feeder container vessel with a capacity of 1260TEU, which can load four different sizes of containers. This vessel measures 148m in length, 27.2m in moulded width, 14.3m in moulded depth, a scantling draft of 8.1m, a design speed of 14kn, and is equipped with two methanol fuel storage tanks and one methanol daily service tank.

On May 16, our group and X-Press Feeders jointly held a grand delivery ceremony for the new vessel. At the ceremony, Mr. Shmuel Yoskovitz, CEO of X-Press Feeders, and Mr. Ren Letian, Chairman of our Group, delivered speeches on behalf of the shipowner and the shipyard respectively. Both parties reviewed the inception of their friendly cooperation, the breakthroughs achieved in their respective industries, and exchanged updates on the progress of ongoing projects. They expressed their hope to continue strengthening strategic docking, deepening exchanges and cooperation, leveraging their respective advantages and continuously improving the quality of cooperation on the basis of stabilizing the existing cooperative relationship.

Both parties stated their commitment to continuously improving the research and development, as well as the application of methanol powered type vessels, in order to make positive contributions to the ongoing transition towards net zero emissions in shipping decarbonization.
